Every test I’ve had has gone smoothly timely and really nice staff members

I had a very disappointing experience with the receptionist at this office. I called to schedule an appointment with a new GYN doctor and spoke with an unfriendly receptionist who gave me the available dates. I booked an appointment over the phone, but later checked the MyChart app and found an earlier date that worked better for me, so I scheduled it there. When I called back to cancel the original appointment, the receptionist was extremely rude. She started by questioning my insurance, claiming one of the insurances on file was unfamiliar to her (even though I’ve been to this facility for other doctors without issue). Then, she told me I wasn’t allowed to schedule appointments through the app and had to book through her instead. I politely responded that I didn’t know that, as the app allowed me to proceed, but that I understood—only for her to abruptly hang up on me. I have never had an experience like this at any other IHA or Trinity facility. A medical office should have front desk staff that are professional and courteous, especially since they are the first point of contact for patients. This level of customer service was unacceptable.

I’ve NEVER had an experience in the medical field like I had today. I arrived 30-40 minutes PRIOR to my scheduled appointment, waited 20 minutes past my scheduled appointment time to ask when would I be seen and was told I was next. I was pulled back into the room 10 minutes after that and sat with no services provided for an additional 20 minutes. After explaining to the receptionist how I had waited over an hour to be seen for just an annual exam and to cancel my appointment because I had to work she showed no empathy, no apology, her only response was “ok your appointment is canceled”.

I've been a patient at Trinity Health Michigan (THM) for years. My wonderful therapist received another opportunity and referred my to Dr. Saroog. Totally disappointing. I called the office and spoke to the receptionist, whom was great. I was informed I had a grace period for 15 minutes, I arrived 1 minute prior to my appt ending. She (Dr. Saroog) would not come out and speak with me, this was my first visit. I felt mentally, physically, and incredibly filled with anxiety. I asked if she would speak to me for a minute. No. If she had another appointment, why couldn't she just take my time for 11 minutes. But to call me and one minute later to be totally ignored was rude and disrespectful to a mental health patient. I requested another doctor, and hopefully I will get back to their service I'm used to receiving at THM ....
